Key characteristics:

•  Form: Miniature to small formal decorative (FD or M-FD), fully double with symmetrical petals.

•  Bloom size: 2–3 inches (some reports up to 3–4 inches).

•  Color: Vibrant watermelon pink (hot pink, pinky-peach, or jewel-toned pink) petals with a distinctive green center that mimics watermelon rind—often described as the standout “wow” feature.

•  Plant height: Compact, 3–4 feet (shorter than many dahlias, making it great for smaller gardens).

•  Growth habits: Prolific bloomer with strong, sturdy stems suitable for cutting; excellent vase life and productivity. It’s praised for adding a fun pop of color to bouquets, especially summer and market arrangements.

•  Best uses: Ideal for cut flowers, farmer-florist work, and garden borders. Thrives in full sun with good drainage; often limited purchase quantities due to demand.

Hybridized and introduced by River Merle Farm (evaluated for at least three years prior to release). It’s now available from the farm and resellers, though stock is limited and sells out quickly. No variants noted—its unique green center sets it apart from similar pink dahlias.

• We guarantee a viable tuber with an intact eye, unbroken neck and sound body that is true to variety ordered. Please examine your order immediately on arrival and contact me within 10 days—with clear photos—if you have a problem. Once the 10 days has elapsed the buyer accepts full responsibility for the tuber.
• We are not responsible for tubers that are being forced for cuttings.
• We are not responsible for tuber starts. Tubers must be planted.
• We are not responsible for weather events once the tuber is in your possession.
